Gosh….if I only had a dime for every time I’ve been asked that question! The short and sweet answer is, “absolutely!”. Now, with that being said, lets clarify that statement a little.
I’m a walking, talking result that
hypnosis works. I can say
with all the confidence in the world that yes, hypnosis is a credible,
valid
solution to many of life’s problems.
“Well Chris, my friend tried hypnosis to quit smoking and she
said it
didn’t work for her. She said she doesn’t believe in it?”
Ahhh…the non-believer. That is why I needed to clarify my opening statement! You see, hypnosis and self hypnosis are very powerful tools in the hands of the willing person. But you show me a person that’s scared of hypnosis, thinks it’s all trickery and has no desire what-so-ever to be hypnotized, and I’ll show you the person that hypnosis won’t work for! Hypnosis will do nothing for someone that doesn’t want to be helped. No one can “force” hypnosis on another person against their will. Oh sure, there are the stories of cults, and people like Hitler that basically brainwash or “hypnotize” their followers, but thats not what I’m speaking of here.
If you or someone you know is considering using hypnosis or self hypnosis to help them solve some issue, then that person needs to be ready to be helped. They need to “want” to be helped. If you can approach hypnosis with a positive, willing & open attitude and can follow simple instructions, then you will get relief and benefit from hypnosis. I’m sure of that.
It doesn’t take much to look around you and see examples of
hypnosis
changing peoples lives. Most cities of any size have at least one hypnotist/hypnotherapist.
The hypnosis field is
worldwide and it’s thriving. Every state in the
I mentioned that there are hypnosis schools in every state, and these schools are turning out new hypnotherapists every week! No doubt that some of those students will go on to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Theres also no doubt that a few of those people will be handed a diploma after a weekend of training, and sent out into the world to practice on people that are paying good money for their services! I just always recommend checking the credentials of the hypnotist/hypnotherapist that you're planning to see. Ask the hypnotist for references. If they can't give you any, find someone different!
To sum things up, hypnosis, self hypnosis & hypnotherapy are real and they really work! If you ever have questions or if I can ever be of assistance, please feel free to contact me.
